by: LENARD CONRAD. SECRETARY OF CORRESPONDANCE. MINISTRY OF MAGIC
The Ministry of Magic is releasing the following statements in regard of the incident that happened some weeks ago at St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. The Minister of Magic, Ignatius Tuft, would like to remind the community that all situations are under control and there is absolutely no threat to the magical peoples at this time. Nor is there any reason for worry or alarm.
At 2 p.m. on July 30th, St. Mungo’s Hospital was evacuated during a Ministry mandated walk-through of the newly renovated long-term ward. At this time, all Ministry personnel in the Department of Magical law Enforcement were dispatched to the scene to help with the moving of patients and to assist in the disturbance in the ward.
When additional aurors arrived at the scene the culprit was already properly taken care of and was immediately transferred to a safe storage space within the Ministry. The unidentified creature which caused the evacuation is currently under investigation and examination, possibilities of the identity range from a boggart to an inferi. The latter is extremely unlikely and a clear idea of what the creature is won’t be determined until further tests have been administered.
St. Mungo’s Hospital is back to running normally and all citizens should resume their regular schedules.
